Sexual Violence towards children and women need not be a foregone conclusion for societies that consider themselves humane. But in many countries, police are the biggest perpetrators of gender based violence, and the victims have nowhere to turn.
That is why we created "Ojos Arriba," or "Eyes Up." When violence is imminent, the eyes of a woman or child go down. When a man violates a woman with his eyes, the eyes go down. What if we lived in a world where men, children and women, kept their eyes up.

In participating banks globally, doors will be open one day a month for women to SAFELY open a bank account, trust and/or business entity. They will be greeted, educated and served entirely by women bankers, attorneys, accountants, local "spiritual advisors," and business planners. If a woman is in imminent threat, her need for privacy and anonymity would be supported. Our goal is to encourage female "banking," and educate women beyond religious/cultural "norms" and "narratives," that warn against female-financial-independence outside of male family members and husbands. The leading cause of death in DV victims is returning after an attempted escape, and it is always due to financial issues that a woman returns to a deadly situation. Financial privacy and independence can end DV death, and violence against women, globally.
